King Ahasuerus is king over 123 provinces. He invites his officials to show off his wealth. They see all his riches and are treated to a feast laying 7 days. At the same time Queen Vashti throws a feast for the women. The king decides to bring Vashti in to the feast to show off her beauty but she refuses to come. King Ahasuerus is furious and asks his wise men what to do. Memucan proposes to banish her from the king presence forever and to issue a decree that a husband is to rule in his house. The king follows the advice.
