Some Pharisees among the believers demand that the gentile believers should be circumcised. Paul and Barnabas opposed this. The believers held a council. Peter spoke out against making the gentiles get circumcised saying they are saved by grace, why should we lay a burden on them neither we nor our fathers have been able to bear. The assembly are silent after Peter's talk. Paul and Barnabas them talk about the work among the gentiles and the assembly are encouraged. They decide to tell them to abstain from God stained by idols, from sexualities immorality and blood. Judas and Silas deliver the message.

Paul and Barnabas go back to Antioch and teach. Then they part ways after a disagreement about taking Mark with them. Paul thinks Mark shouldn't come because he did not stay with them all the time in their previous travels but left them for a while.
